Croatian Ethnographic Heritage

Again an early post for Sunday Stamps, this time for the theme ethnic or national costumes. Some of these stamps may be recognised as they were issued as definitives (like the even more familiar set from 2010 which gives us postcrossers the goosebumps of terror as they are often the only stamps they sell in POs, to this day!). Represented are the details of national costumes from five different regions in Croatia.
Other (I am sure) great posts check here:

  1. I like these stamps! I have received two of them on one of the postcards you sent to me.

But I understand you: here usually can buy only the basics stamps (with the king). I like them, but... what about a little variety? :/

  5. I've had a couple of these lovely stamps but never seen the full set, great FDC. Your PO comment raised a rueful smile, you have to time it right to avoid the ubiquitious queen stamps here.

  6. Hi Agi, I don't have any of these stamps...I like the one in the middle with the pattern similar to elaborate snowflake. Perhaps we can swap a postcard with a nice stamp from you? :)

  7. I have taken to ordering USPS stamps by mail, to get a variety. But there is only one stamp with the denomination for international air mail. thank you for sharing these lovely stamps. I like seeing the detail of the handwork!
