I don't think I have swapped for too many Europa 2014 stamps/covers, but this one sure is a gem. The theme was the national musical instruments. The birds are also especially memorable :)

Before I update with all the wonderful 2014 EUROPA covers I have been receiving lately...its only right to present the missing 2012 issues for some chronological order. (I havent swapped at all in 2013...happy to be back on track:))

Europa '77 Isle Of Man

I think I have mentioned that I try to collect FDCs and covers issued in 1977, year of my birth...The theme for Europa stamps was Landscapes, and here is the issue from Isle of Man :)

Federal Republic Of Germany

An envelope sent to my host family in Germany, and it almost ended up in a rubbish bin! The stamps are all from 1970 (including Europa Cept) with the exception of the bottom left one from 1969. Love vintage stamps!

Amazon Alive

I just realised that I have a few mini-sheets that fit the se-tenant category :) I have only now spotted that Royal Mail issued this set as Europa stamps for the 2011 theme International Year Of Forest. I just love the brightness of colours! And the message that reminds us how important the Amazon Forest is for our planet...

EUROPA 2012 - Serbia

It has been a while...and I have gotten an e-mail warning that my blog has been out of use for too long and i am risking 'annulment'...ok panic! heh. But as it is, though not at home I still have some beautiful covers on my usb to share :) Like this Europa cover from Serbia, thanks to dear Ana xx. In my opinion Serbian Post issues some of the most gorgeous stamps, and here is no exception - a patchwork of images that lure you to visit Serbia, from nature wonders to rich history and architecture. I hope to explore it better myself one day. Hvala Anchi!! :))

EUROPA 2004, Bosnia And Herzegovina

The theme for 2004 Europa issues was 'Vacation'. I love the name of the country written in the corner of the envelope :) Hvala Goge!

For this year's Europa issue Lithuania presented its town (architecture) and country. Couldn't find which exact spots they are! Thank you very much Algis :)

EUROPA 2012 - France

I love the loooong French stamps! As this year's Europa theme is 'Visit...' here you can see all the great sites in France - the Cirque de Mofate (Réunion), the Eiffel Tower, the Pont du Gard aqueduct, the stunning Mont Saint-Michel and the Place Stanislas in Nancy. As it happens, all are Unesco sites :)

EUROPA 2012 - Macedonia

This year macedonian post issued three europa stamps - as far as i know their worth is ridiculously high for everyday usage, which makes it that much more precious to have this cover in my collection!

EUROPA 2012 - Latvia

Europa stamps are special stamps issued by European postal administrations (continuously since 1956) and bear the special EUROPA logo. Each year a different theme is chosen, which builds awareness of the common roots, culture and history, as well as promotes the common goals.

This is my 1st Europa cover for this year - ossuusso was kind to send covers from her short trip to Latvia in March. The theme for this year's Europa issue is 'Visit...' so we can see the main sights of the individual countries on the stamps ( it must be difficult to choose only a few..!)

Latvians suggest you to visit the National Opera in Riga :)
